The Coltrane Home invites you to their first annual service event, A Force For Good Day, at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library in Dix Hills, NY. This special event celebrates the legacy of Alice Coltrane as part of the nationwide “Year of Alice” campaign and honors John Coltrane ahead of his 98th birthday on September 23rd.

In the spirit of Alice and John, this day of giving is dedicated to serving the community. Stop by after 1 PM to collect free books and school supplies from The Coltrane Home, and meet friends from The Louis Armstrong House Museum and The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame, who will be offering special surprises. Learn about the amazing free services available for students through the library and the Huntington Town Youth Bureau, and discover more organizations working for the Long Island community.

Throughout the afternoon, enjoy live performances by talented young Long Island student musicians, bringing the Coltrane legacy to life through music.
