Graduating with First Class Honours in Jazz from the New Zealand School of Music, Dexter has shared the stage with jazz icons like Alex Sipiagin, Antonio Hart, and Rufus Reid. From big band classics to Afro-Cuban rhythms, Dexter’s versatility and passion shine through in every performance.

In 2022, Dexter was awarded the prestigious Fulbright General Graduate Award, allowing him to pursue a Master of Music in New York City. He currently studies with legendary jazz musicians Dennis Mackrel, Antonio Hart, and Michael Mossman, and is a proud member of the Grammy Award-winning Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra.
